Checks on checks on checks.

I have had this blog post drafted now for three weeks, last Saturday I started editing it before the gym, then realised the time and dashed to make my class on time. To my horor, the changes I had made hadn't saved. Since then I have been away with work and visited my friend in London for the weekend - which may I say was amazing, I didn't want to leave!

I really do want to start blogging more though, (I know I have said this before!) but I really do enjoy it and want it to become my hobby, may even tell a few people about it! Ha.

My friend has suggested taking myself away from the flat one evening a week or half a day at the weekend to a cafe (with wifi obvs), have a chai tea latte (my new fav thing) and start, complete and publish a blog post. So I think I am going to try this on Saturday or next week.

Ages ago, I fell in love with this two piece from topshop, but couldn't afford it, so for my birthday my older sisters bought it for me! Aren't they great?

The great things about co-ords are that they obv look amazing together, but you can get your money's worth as you can wear them separately! Since my night out, the co-ord has been worn together again and I have worn the items seperately - the trousers with my fluffly pink jumper and the top with my faithful Topshop Joni Jeans and bomber jacket that I purchased in the Topshop sale about 2 weeks ago! (I literally tie this demin shirt around my waist with everythang!)

Back to the birthday night out outfit, which is where this blog originated from - I decided to have a go at clashing patterns with my leopard print clutch. The shoes didn't look great, as I stupidly only packed one pair of heels and didn't try them with my outfit beforehand, so I had to roll the trousers to wear the heels! Opps, Kinda worked tho?

Two piece: Topshop
Clutch: Monki
Shoes: schuh
Armlet: ebay
Tatoo choker and bracelet: ebay
Rings: h&m and Topshop

A few cheeky drunk shots and selfies with the clique-

Not only does this outfit cover the two piece trend it also covers the 'gingham/ checks' trend for SS14. This was seen from the likes of Henry Holland, Margaret Howell, Meadham Kirchoff, Derkek Lam and Balmain.

Below are some of my favourites and probably what inspired me to like the Topshop Co-ord in the first place!

And where their inspiration came from...

I bit the bullet and wore it head to toe! How would you wear this trend?

Checkmate.

It's all about the socks.

So last Friday consisted of Mexican, alcohol and dancing! A pretty damn good night.

As we were going out to eat before drinking, I knew I needed a baggy dress and this missguided boxy tshirt dress was perfect. It was a bargain too.

I've been dying to wear these socks since I bought them. So I kept it simple with black and white and the new fur to keep me warm.

A-REE-BA, A-REE-BA!! Remember Speedy Gonzales?

Dress: missguided
Nike Socks: Topshop

I wonder what tonight will bring? Do you have any Friday night plans?

This dress never fails me.

I bought this tartan slip dress from Zara absolutely ages ago! I have wanted to do a post on it for a while but just never got round to it. So here it is.

I can't even remember how much it was- maybe £30? Zara surprises me sometimes, I see something and think "ooo but how much is it?" Then I check and when I'm surprised at the good price- I have to buy it there and then! No thinking about it. And I'm so glad I did. Ive worn it loads during the day with a roll neck jumper, I've also worn it out on a casual night out with a tshirt underneath and trainers and then with heels and no tshirt/ jumper underneath- which is a little sexy!!

Here is my day time look - I've teamed it with stripey socks for a sporty touch!

Dress: Zara
Roll neck: Uniqlo
Coat: Armstrong Vintage
Bag: Michael Kors
Reeboks: schuh
Socks: Topshop

What's your favourite item at the moment?

Shoes over food... or both!

You know me- I love a shoe!

I have two new pairs to add to my collection.

Fly Girl from Schuh.

Vans from schuh.

This week I went ice skating with the girls from work and for some yummy food afterwards! We went to a vegetarian restaurant Hendersons. I highly recommend it, the food was amazing and the service great!

This year, I decided to have a little theme with my wrapping instead of just buying novelty Christmas wrapping paper. (I have no idea how I am going to take these back home with me along with two weeks worth of clothes and outfit options for a night out and New Years Eve!!)

On the subject of a night out - I wish I had a spare £50! I do not normally shop in River Island, but I walked past earlier and spotted the dreaded Sale vinyl in the window and thought what the hell, I'm going in! I tried 3 items on, first two were awful! The third - not normally something I would even try on - but I loved it, but as I said, if only I had a spare £50! (This was in the sale too!) I would probably only have worn it the once on the night out, then it would have been added to my 'one wear' collection of dresses!

Do you have a NYE outfit?

All Black Everythang

So I wanted this jumper from asos and at the time it was reduced. It was added to the many saved items in my saved bag. I went to purchase it two days later and to my horror it had gone back to the original price. This confused me as it was in the sale, not a promotional offer, and I always know when they are ending, so that I don't miss out. But anyway, not long after, there was email informing me students could get 20% off everything. By this point, I have no money left, so my sister ends up buying it for herself, with my permission of course. hehe. She didn't like it on, and instead of just sending it back, I tried it on and loved it even more in real life than on the website. She let me keep it and I owe her the money. Isn't she just the best!

For my first wear, I decided to wear it with some black leather look trousers, but I will be wearing it with everything. It's so versatile - can't wait to throw it over one of my dresses.

Jumper: asos
Leather look trousers: Ark (old)
Reeboks: schuh
Earrings: Topshop
Lipstick: Mac - Amplified Up

Have you got yourself a fluffy jumper yet? If not, there are loads on the high street and online, in all the colours you could ask for... it's a must have.

Behind the times

I am just so rubbish at this! I reckon writing more blog posts is going to have to be a new year resolution along with the other stuff I keep forgetting to do or putting off! Like sort my wardrobe out and just organise my life in general!!

Anyway, so what's happened since we last united? ALOT!

I've been so busy in my job! I said I would go home every other weekend, and only managed it last weekend. That meant that like nearly 3 months had past since I left my home town! Say what! I know, who would have thought I would have let that amount of time pass by! It flew by! I can't believe how quick it's all going.

Anyway, so part of my job role, is to help set up and open new stores! I had the pleasure on assisting on both our new London stores! The big one - Marble Arch! I love London but have only been a hand full of times. I do vow to live there one day! Getting the tube is quite stressful, but I got the hang of it at the end of my visit. At the very beginning I looked like such a tourist! Ha.

Back to Marble Arch, it's a big store, it was stressful but I loved it!! To top all of that off, we had Labrinth to do a performance and meet and greet! So some guys came and set up a stage in the back of the shop.

I hate the below photo, I look so chubby and shiny!! But I had to upload it! The girl I'm with is awesome and works for schuh PR! I practically forced her to come in the photo with me! lol. Thanks again Dom!

I have to admit, Labrinth surprised me and was sooooo good live!

The week after, we then opened a store in Canary Wharf. This didn't have an event to launch the opening, however was still fun to be involved in.

Tourist Photo:

Whilst in London this time, I met up with some bessies! Who I hadn't seen in ages. We went for food and drinks, and of course a dance. I miss them!

Dancing:

The sun hurting our eyes the morning after (lol):

I had my hair cut at Vidal Sassoon, for free :-) as they needed someone with short hair. Although Katie could have warned me of the situation... She said there might be a few students that watch, that was not the case, it was for the 'hair academy' they do. So I was sat on a stage, having my hair cut, being watched. Then the students took photos! Baring in mind, I had been at the shop in Canary Wharf since half 7 in the morning, then rushed around on the tube and in the rain to find &other stories (you cannnot be in London and not go in this shop!) then find the bloody hair salon! Not having time to touch up any of the make up I had left on my face - So I looked an absolute mess! O well, I'll know for next time!

Some shots I thought were cool in the Sassoons:

I won't make this post any longer.
