Beetlejuice.

Friday night out outfit post, again- such a party animal.

This amazing suit is from H&M.

I got a lot of compliments with my outfit last night which was great as I was a little self conscious with the choice when I decided on it. I never normally wear a crop unless I am wearing trousers or a skirt that are ultra high waisted so that there is literally only a tiny bit of skin on show.

I didn't get a great outfit of the night photo- but I don't know when I will next wear it so thought I may as well still post it! (I really need to perfect the 'selfie.')

I went out with my flat to some hippie night- it wasn't my thang but I had fun and got into the spirit! Haha.

I love going out on a Friday as you have Saturday to recover if you need it, then you still have Sunday left before going back to work!

P.s Today I bought some new boots! Opps

It's all about the socks.

So last Friday consisted of Mexican, alcohol and dancing! A pretty damn good night.

As we were going out to eat before drinking, I knew I needed a baggy dress and this missguided boxy tshirt dress was perfect. It was a bargain too.

I've been dying to wear these socks since I bought them. So I kept it simple with black and white and the new fur to keep me warm.

This dress never fails me.

I bought this tartan slip dress from Zara absolutely ages ago! I have wanted to do a post on it for a while but just never got round to it. So here it is.

I can't even remember how much it was- maybe £30? Zara surprises me sometimes, I see something and think "ooo but how much is it?" Then I check and when I'm surprised at the good price- I have to buy it there and then! No thinking about it. And I'm so glad I did. Ive worn it loads during the day with a roll neck jumper, I've also worn it out on a casual night out with a tshirt underneath and trainers and then with heels and no tshirt/ jumper underneath- which is a little sexy!!

Here is my day time look - I've teamed it with stripey socks for a sporty touch!

Teddy Bear Coat.

How is everyone's January blues going?

Last week I had an amazing week and was behind the scenes at our (schuh) SS14 campaign. I have never been to a photoshoot before so I was LOVING it. I have lots of photos to share and if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen some tasters of the shoot last week. I will dedicate a post to it soon though.

I thought I'd share some of my new buys... Have you heard of oniochalasia? It's buying or shopping as a method of stress relief or relaxation! Also I saw this this other day "sweating while you shop counts as exercise!" Which I keep telling myself today especially as I have only been to the gym twice this week! But I have done lots of walking!

Anyway, so my fave purchase is probably my new jumper which arrived Wednesday - I love coming home from work with a parcel awaiting for me! Especially when I have forgotten what it was I ordered! (That's bad isn't it?!) I would never be able to afford an ACNE jumper so when I found a link to this jumper off a fashion blogger I follow Hannah Crosskey I couldn't help myself. If you haven't come across Hannah's personal style blog before, you should definitely start following it. ACNE's name derives from "ambition to create novel expression."

Also my teddy bear coat which I found today in a vintage shop called Armstrong in Grass Market, Edinburgh. I probably could have done with it before now as it's cosy warm, but up here it is still freezing so I will get quite a few wears out of it still. Plus I don't think it will ever go out of style- so an investment piece too.

Trousers: H&M
Coat: Armstrong Vintage
Nike Roshe trainers: schuh
Socks: Topshop (see below picture)

Selfie with a fedora style hat I didn't purchase as I couldn't wear the hat with the coat! ott. I could probably wear it when not wearing the coat- I only tried it on as hats don't suit my short hair- but I was surprised that it actually didn't look too hideous!

Other purchases that make me happy.

Clutch: Zara sale

Socks: Topshop - I CANNOT wait to rock these with some chunky sandals and Birkenstocks. Hurry up summer!

You cant go wrong with another pair of jeans.

Jeans: Topshop sale

iPhone 5 phone case: KENZO

Love or hate the case? I LOVE!

Inspiration #2

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope y'all had a fabulous Christmas and great time celebrating seeing the New Year in!

I went home for Christmas, and spent it with family and friends which was lovely! I ate far too much tho! I arrived back in Edinburgh Sunday evening and back to work on the Monday! It's not been too bad actually! Not hit the January blues yet! Hopefully I won't!

Did u all get spoilt rotten by Santa? I got some lovely gifts of clothes, make up, money, and of course chocolate! I had to eat it all before coming back tho as wanted to start heathly eating and exercising again! Although, the gym is super busy! All these new year resolutions of going to the gym has made it rammed for us regulars!

Anyway, I know my last post was an inspiration post. But whilst I was doing some research for my next post I thought... What's the harm in doing another. All the images below are photos I have liked recently on Instagram. And anyone that knows me knows I LOVE instagram! It literally is my favourite thing. So when looking through the pics I've liked last night, I thought I'd screen shot them and share them with you.

This post could literally have gone on forever! haha.

Are you obessed with insta?

Inspiration #1

I've just been pinning on Pinterest! and thought I'd do a blog post on some of the pictures I have repinned on to my own boards. Pinterest is so good for inspiration for fashion, food, hair, beauty, interior design - this list goes on! There is a board for everything.

As you can image I repin loads! Below are some of my favourites, hope you like and find them inspirational too.

Shoes over food... or both!

You know me- I love a shoe!

I have two new pairs to add to my collection.

Fly Girl from Schuh.

Vans from schuh.

This week I went ice skating with the girls from work and for some yummy food afterwards! We went to a vegetarian restaurant Hendersons. I highly recommend it, the food was amazing and the service great!

This year, I decided to have a little theme with my wrapping instead of just buying novelty Christmas wrapping paper. (I have no idea how I am going to take these back home with me along with two weeks worth of clothes and outfit options for a night out and New Years Eve!!)

On the subject of a night out - I wish I had a spare £50! I do not normally shop in River Island, but I walked past earlier and spotted the dreaded Sale vinyl in the window and thought what the hell, I'm going in! I tried 3 items on, first two were awful! The third - not normally something I would even try on - but I loved it, but as I said, if only I had a spare £50! (This was in the sale too!) I would probably only have worn it the once on the night out, then it would have been added to my 'one wear' collection of dresses!

Do you have a NYE outfit?
